Recent significant changes to the Act No. 530/2003 Coll. on the Commercial Register and on amendments to certain acts and their implications for the business environment

Abstract

The article addresses recent legislative changes in the legal order of the Slovak Republic in the form of Act No. 52/2018 Coll., 373/2018 Coll., 311/2019 Coll. And 390/2019 Coll., which resulted in the amendment of the Act No. 530/2003 Coll. on the Commercial Register and on amendments and supplements to certain acts, which in practice introduce new obligations and restrictions within the business environment. The author focuses especially on the parts that directly affect the persons registered in the Commercial Register and require their attention in order to the fulfil the introduced obligations, while at the same time assesses their impact and brings a critical perspective on emerging application problems in practice.
