Abstract
Criminal law provides legal protection for information, in particular by sanctioning those who seriously violate the legal rules for handling of protected information. This usually applies to information protected in the interests of individuals, but also in the interests of the society as a whole, the violation of which is a criminal offense. However, protection of information is also provided by criminal procedural law. The content of the article consists of answers to the following questions – by what means and what information in the criminal proceedings is protection provided for by the criminal procedural law.
