Abstract
The paper deals with selected institutes that have produced the current amendment to criminal regulations. These include the introduction of the institute of a declaration of guilt, the extension of the applicability of agreements on guilt and punishment, and other undisputed facts. The adversarial nature of criminal proceedings is strengthened by the introduction of new mandatory parts of the indictment (introduction of a motion to impose a sentence or waiver of punishment) and also by the statement of the accused of the indictment. The amendment is a significant shift towards the Anglo-American model of criminal proceedings.
