The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East

Abstract

The aim of this article is to briefly examine the work of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, including the present challenges it is facing. The agency was established in 1949 as part of the efforts to solve the Palestinian refugee crisis, which emerged as a result of the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. However, the agency’s work and actions are currently facing intense criticism mainly from the United States of America.
