Abstract
The contribution deals with a new phenomenon of the european area – the European Public Prosecutor’s Office, established by the Council Regulation (EU) 2017/1939 implementing enhanced cooperation on the establishment of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office. The marginal aim of this contribution is to bring the basic insight into the problematics of this new body of public prosecution and thus contribute to deeper cognition of a relevant facts. The contribution is devided into three main sections. The first section is focused on a historical excursion of the way to establishment of the EPPO. The second part is split into a several partial subsections dealing with a current status of the EPPO. Furthermore, the third part reflects some questionable points. At the end, there are considerations de lege ferenda concerning the fate and the factuality of the European Prosecution.
