Abstract

The protection of air passenger rights is one of the key policy areas of the European Union, which aims to ensure a high level of consumer protection, mobility of citizens and equal access to transport services across Member States. The article presents the particular rules of Union law that apply in this area and clarifies their meaning through the relevant case law of the Court of Justice.
