Abstract
The paper is devoted to the issue of the legal regulation of political parties in the 20th century in
Slovakia and related changes in property rights. Namely, it is devoted to the period at the end of the
monarchy, during the Czechoslovak Republic, the Slovak state, during the communist regime and,
finally, the democratization process and related legislative changes in the field of legal regulation of
the political parties after November 1989. The aim of the contribution is to analyse and compare
individual legal regulations as well as the ideas behind them and thus provide a picture of the
development of the legal regulation of the property status of political parties in the 20th century on
the territory of Slovakia.
