The origin and formation of the Anglo-American idea of the rule of law from the 17th to the 19th century

Abstract

This research paper deals with the milestones of the Anglo-American idea of the rule of law which significantly contributed to its formation from the 17th to the 19th century. In his analysis, the author presents as such key moments the contributions of Edward Coke, John Locke, the adoption of the United States Constitution, The Federalist Papers, the case Marbury v. Madison and the work of Albert Venn Dicey.
